The IECEE system is a multilateral certification system based on international standards developed by IEC for electrotechnical equipment and components. The organizations that will implement the IECEE system are the national certification bodies of the countries. These organizations use test laboratories known as CB Test Laboratories (CBTL) for their testing and evaluation studies. The main benefit of IECEE testing and certification efforts is that the system provides mutual recognition of certificates of conformity worldwide. A CB certified device has direct access to global markets.
